THE STORYTELLER (Texto en espaƱol mas abajo)
Merinero has begun to tell yet another story in his native Madrid, the Masalastories, a work in progress. These stories describe, question and transmit ideas about society through suggestion and entertainment.Through photography, stencils and spray paint Merinero transforms real people in characters of stories/collages, these characters come from different parts of the contemporary world and from times long gone. The narrative of the story develops gradually.Step by step the characters will come alive, defining their personality and marking their territory in this fictitious world.
The process will be repeated in various cities around the world in spaces on street level open to the public, all with the idea of involving the spectator in live visual storytelling.
